Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of DataBounty, including the website, marketplace, dashboards, APIs, validation tools, bounty workflows, and related services.
Last updated: July 13, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
DataBounty is operated by [x]cube LABS DBA Purple Talk, Inc. By accessing or using DataBounty, you agree to these Terms. If you use DataBounty on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. Marketplace Roles
DataBounty supports multiple roles. Sponsors create and fund bounty requests. Contributors claim work and submit dataset items. Validators review submitted work and report quality issues. Administrators operate, moderate, and secure the platform.
You are responsible for the activity under your account, wallet, and connected integrations, and for ensuring that your use of DataBounty complies with these Terms and applicable law.
3. Accounts, Wallets, and Eligibility
You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and promptly update account details when needed. Wallet addresses, signatures, OAuth accounts, and other credentials may be used for authentication, attribution, payouts, and abuse prevention.
We may require additional verification, tax, sanctions, identity, or compliance information before enabling certain features, payouts, or limits.
4. Bounties, Funding, and Escrow
Sponsors are responsible for the accuracy and legality of bounty specifications, requested datasets, license requirements, funding amounts, and acceptance criteria. Bounty funding, pilot phases, full-tranche funding, refunds, payouts, and fees are handled according to the workflow shown in the product at the time of use.
Blockchain transactions may be irreversible. You are responsible for reviewing wallet addresses, networks, token types, transaction details, and fee implications before authorizing any transaction.
5. Submissions and Validation
Contributors must submit original, lawful, spec-compliant work and disclose AI assistance or generation where required by the bounty. Submissions may be checked for duplicates, benchmark contamination, policy violations, test execution, LLM review, and human audit.
Passing one validation layer does not guarantee acceptance if another layer later identifies an issue. We may reject, hold, audit, remove, or reclassify submissions to protect marketplace quality and safety.
6. Licenses and Ownership
You retain rights you already own in your submitted materials, but by submitting work to a bounty you grant DataBounty, sponsors, and other applicable participants the rights needed to host, validate, audit, display, deliver, license, and use the work according to the bounty terms and platform workflow.
Sponsors receive rights to accepted deliverables according to the bounty license. You must not submit material that infringes another party's rights, violates confidentiality obligations, or cannot be licensed under the bounty terms.
7. Payments, Payouts, and Taxes
Contributor and validator rewards are paid only for work accepted under the applicable bounty rules. Fees, gas costs, exchange rates, payment timing, payout thresholds, holds, reversals, and compliance checks may apply.
You are responsible for taxes, reporting, and other obligations that arise from payments, rewards, token transfers, or other benefits you receive through DataBounty.
8. Acceptable Use
You may not use DataBounty to submit malware, exploit code intended for abuse, stolen data, private personal information without rights, benchmark leaks presented as original work, spam, fraudulent activity, market manipulation, harassment, illegal content, or material that violates third-party rights.
You may not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, abuse validation systems, manipulate reputation or audits, use multiple accounts to evade limits, scrape where prohibited, or attempt unauthorized access to DataBounty or its providers.
9. Third-Party Services
DataBounty may rely on third-party services for authentication, hosting, storage, analytics, email, validation, sandbox execution, payments, blockchain networks, and integrations. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
10. Suspension and Enforcement
We may suspend, limit, or terminate access; remove content; pause payments; hold funds; reverse platform credits where possible; or take other reasonable action if we believe there is fraud, abuse, legal risk, security risk, policy violation, or harm to the marketplace.
11. Disclaimers
DataBounty is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, specific marketplace results, specific earnings, specific dataset quality, or that every validation decision will be correct.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DataBounty and [x]cube LABS DBA Purple Talk, Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice. Continued use of DataBounty after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Contact
